• Pulmonary hypertension is a lung disorder that affects the arteries that transport blood to the lungs from the heart. Pulmonary hypertension is rare and is most common in young adult females. • As pulmonary hypertension progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult for those with the condition to perform light activities, such as walking up a flight of stairs. Severe fatigue, shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting are all common occurrences experienced by people with advanced pulmonary hypertension during routine activities. Irregular Heartbeat

• In addition to difficulty performing routine activities, those who suffer from advanced pulmonary hypertension often experience serious symptoms even while at rest. A common symptom of advanced pulmonary hypertension is an irregular heartbeat, which includes throbbing sensations and palpitations and a very fast pulse. Those who have an irregular heartbeat usually experience difficulty breathing and dizziness at rest.
  
  

Blood Clots

• Many people in the advanced stages of pulmonary hypertension experience chronic blood clots due to the narrowing of the arteries. These clots generally occur in the blood vessels of the lung, leading to blood vessel disorders, such as inflammation of the blood vessels. Due to difficulty pumping blood from the heart, advanced pulmonary hypertension can lead to serious complications that can permanently damage the heart, such as an enlarged right ventricle. As the right ventricle continues to expand and becomes overworked, it can fail altogether, causing right heart failure.
