Halo Headlights Installation in a 2007 Ford Mustang

    Removing the Bumper

    • 1). Engage the parking brake and make sure the ignition of your 2007 Ford Mustang is turned off for safety purposes.

    • 2). Locate the six mounting pins in the plastic radiator shield before removing them using the flat-head screwdriver. Detach the shield from the engine compartment.

    • 3). Remove the two bumper cover bolts by turning them counterclockwise with a wrench or a set of pliers. Set the bolts aside.

    • 4). Pull the fender-well liner out from the front to locate two bumper cover retaining bolts on both sides of the Mustang. Remove the bolts with pliers by turning them in a counterclockwise direction.

    • 5). Pull the front bumper cover forward to remove it from the Mustang.

    Installing the Halo Light

    • 1). Lift the retaining pins from the outside corner of each headlight, using a flat-head screwdriver. Remove the three headlight retaining bolts from each headlight by turning them counterclockwise with a wrench or a set of pliers.

    • 2). Pull the headlight assembly straight out from the front of the Mustang. Remove the headlight bulb by turning the retainer ring on the rear of the headlight assembly counterclockwise. Pull the headlight socket from the assembly and remove the headlight from the vehicle.

    • 3). Reach behind the headlight assembly to press the retaining clip that detaches the electrical connector from the bulb.

    • 4). Slide in the new halo assembly, securing it to the frame using the retaining pins and by turning the retaining bolts clockwise.

    • 5). Connect the electrical connector to the rear of the halo headlight ballast. Reattach the front bumper by reversing steps 2 through 5. Close the hood, and your new halo headlights are ready for proper operation.
