Princess Birthday Activities

    Make a Wand

    • Give the guests all the elements required to make their very own wand, which is one of the most integral parts of any princess' attire. Make individual stations that each contain a stick, some feathers, a star medallion, glitter and a piece of pink paper to cover the stick. The wand activity can be performed at the beginning of the party so that the decorations will have time to dry before the end of the event.

    Make the Cake

    • Instead of making a cake before the day of the party or purchasing one at a local bakery, have the guests help construct the birthday girl's cake. Give each of the guests all of the ingredients required to make an individual cake. Help them measure and mix the ingredients, pour the batter into individual heart-shaped pans and place them into the oven. After they have cooled, help the girls decorate their cakes with pink icing, sprinkles and candy.

    Princess Makeover

    • Help all the guests at the party look like royalty by providing the necessary attire and makeup needed to transform them into little princesses. Set out trunks that have dresses of all different colors and sizes. These dresses can be obtained from a bedroom closet or a local thrift store. Allow the girls to come up with their own looks. After each girl has changed into her princess outfit, divide them into pairs and assist them in putting makeup on one another. Keep the makeup feminine and simple. Give each pair of girls some glitter eye shadow, pink lip gloss and peach blush. Have a princess fashion show once the makeovers are complete.

If boys will be at the party, include costumes for the little princes, as well. Or perhaps they'd rather be knights in shining armor. Don't forget the sword and a noble steed, that is, a stuffed stick pony toy.

    Create a Castle

    • Help the guests at the party construct their own princess castles, which can also be taken home as party favors. Clean out several glass jars of any size. Give each of the children a small paintbrush and some glitter paint to cover the outside of the glass jar. Glue a Hershey's Kiss to the bottom of the overturned jar and fill the jar with other candy treats, once they have dried. The guests can each take home their creation and enjoy the candy after the party has ended.
