What Is Creakic?

    Identification

    • Creakic is basically a creatine supplement, or an organic acid, that supplies energy to the muscles and nerve cells of the body, used to support muscle growth and enhance athletic performance. The idea behind this bodybuilding and athletic supplement involves reactive oxygen species (ROS) that counteract muscle growth after a workout or a session of training. High levels of ROS will hinder creatine "uptake" which would then limit the growth of your muscles. This supplement essentially neutralizes the ROS, allowing for better creatine absorption and muscle growth, or at least this is the claim.

    Function

    • Creakic is asserted as the only creatine supplement that actually delivers this organic acid into the muscles, which is said to be a necessary building block for growth and strength. While there is some truth to the benefits of taking a creatine-based supplement, the increase in muscle growth and the development in athletic performance have been minimal at best. Actually, adding creatine-based supplements to your diet have shown no benefits to agility, speed or physical fitness.

    Considerations

    • Although current tests have not revealed creatine-based supplements, such as Creakic, to be unsafe for use, the number of tests and the length of these trials are not a good enough gauge to whether long-term consumption should or shouldn't be recommended. Due to the fact that Creakic is considered an herbal supplement, it isn't held to the same regulations by the Food and Drug Administration as medicinal treatments used by doctors.

    Warning

    • While the herbal supplement is generally considered safe, a couple of adverse effects have been reported in some individuals. Most often, a person using Creakic will experience some dehydration, which is caused by the increase in "muscular water uptake." As the muscles grow, they may retain more water than before. The other side effect is a lower leg pain that may need medical attention. If you experience either symptom, you should cease using the Creakic supplement and consult your doctor.

    Expert Insight

    • Currently, creatine supplements are being studied by researchers as a potential treatment for such disorders as multiple sclerosis, arthritis and even heart failure. It is believed the organic acid may prolong the life of the cells of the muscles. What does this mean for Creakic? It means that claims regarding effectiveness may actually find medical support.
