How to Start and Rapidly Grow a Coaching Business - A Tip That Could Get You 2X to 50X More Clients

When I discovered that there were ways to more than double a business in a matter of days or weeks, frequently I'd have people tell me, "Oh, come on now.
DOUBLE!.
" Oh Come On, That's Not Possible Do you know why people respond that way? It's because the way they've been doing business wouldn't come close to those figures .

so they logically assume that it's just not possible.
And as a coach, I'm sure that you've learned that MINDSET, beliefs, can be the biggest obstacle to your clients moving forward, and, frankly, is for coaches as well.
The number I used above, 50 times more clients, may have kicked your thinking either up to "How can he do that?" or down to "Oh, come on now.
 That's not possible.
" But you are reading so, let's dig in and find out how simple it really is to increase the number of clients you are closing to over 50 times where you are now.
One of the well-known statistics is that 80% of all business is lost for lack of proper follow up.
And it's very true.

And there you have it.
When most coaches make only one sales call, they are only capturing 2% of the possible number of sales that could have.
2 sales calls would gain them another 3%.
And it takes somewhere between 5 to 12 sales calls to get you 80% of the possible business.
But now let's look at the far right hand column.
That shows us how many more clients we could have than we'd have if we only did one sales call.
It's that simple.
If you are only making one call you are closing only 2% of the business that's likely.
At 2 calls you are likely getting 2.
5 times more business just by not giving up after meeting with someone just one time.
And it is 50 times more when you make sure to meet 5 or more times.
So, how many times do you follow up with someone? Do you give up after the first contact, or the first meeting? If they don't show interest, or they simply say no, do you give up? What would happen if, after the first call, you made sure that you have a list of all of the things they have on their goal list, and the obstacles they've listed as being in the way, that you followed up to simply ask "You had indicated that you would have gotten to this point by now.
I was just calling to see how well that's working for you?" Most will not have obtained their goals, and may even have new obstacles.
Show a little sympthy, "Boy, I understand how that must be impacting where you wanted to be by now.
Why don't we set down and develop a strategy to move that forward a notch or two?" Or, "You know Ihad a customer that had that kind of problem, he moved ahead by X times [or by X dollars] woul you like to know how he did that?" Get those follow up appointments to "help them move along" not to "sell them something.
" You'll get tons of follow up appointments.
Whether you believe that doing 5 or more follow-up appointments will double your business, or take it up 50 times doesn't really matter.
The point is that 5 or more appointments will multiply the number of clients you have, and any multiplier is a great one.
Right?
