I have been going to this campground for years with friends, and I RV camped there in June 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
We arrived early about 10 am. We had made reservations ahead of time, but when we arrived someone was in our spot and they had till 4 pm to leave. We were to park in the parking lot. It was all sun no electric for refridgerator. We kept checking all day and letting the office know that they were not there nor packing.
At 4:10 we began to get upset. The dogs were hot and hungry, and so were we. The office then sent security to find them. They found them, stated they were packing, and we could hook up at the office till then, if we wanted. Well by the time we did that, the spot would be ready. They did give us a free day to use another time. I feel the people were not very courteous, and the campground could have done something sooner.
Pros: I liked that it was on the water. The spot we got was large and roomy for the dogs. There is a store/marina/bar right there.
Cons: All the spots are not level and hard to get level. All the ativities are at the campsites across the river, so if you do not have a boat or car you can not join in any.
Nearby attractions: Not really anything near by that we know of, just a big lake. A lot of fun, if you have a boat.
Further comments: 4 pm is too late for check out. Both paying for the day, both should get half. 12 pm check out should be the latest.
