How to Spray Cake Icing
- 1). Shake the can of food color spray well before using.
- 2). Practice spraying the icing on a piece of heavy paper or cardboard before applying it to your cake. This gives you a feel for how much pressure to apply to the can.
- 3). Spray your first coat of food color on the icing and allow it to dry.
- 4). Spray on a second, lighter coat of food color spray over the first coat.
- 5). Continue to spray the cake with light coats of color until you get the color you want.
