- 1). Consult your paycheck stub for your gross salary for the pay period. Your gross pay is your wages before deductions. Your gross salary should typically stay constant each pay period.
- 2). Divide the number of days in the pay period by your salary per pay period to arrive at your daily rate. Say you earn $2,500 biweekly. Calculation: $2,500 / 10 days = $250.
- 3). Divide your daily rate by the number of daily work hours to arrive at your hourly wage. Calculation: $250 / 8 hours = $31.25.
