How I Met Your Mother (Episode 2 Season 6) Recap - Cleaning The House
In this episode, Barney tries to convince the gang to go to the house where he spend his childhood days and help Loretta, his mother move out.
He succeeds as the gang agrees to do it.
When the gang is packing up the things in the house, they find out that Loretta is extremely protective of Barney as she hides everything from him including the identity of his father for protecting him and even his capability to play basketball.
This initiates a great discussion between Marshall and Lily regarding lying to the kids.
The discussion grows strong and so is the verbal argument, as always.
Later in the episode, Barney and his brother James find an envelope that is addressed to 'Sam Gibbs'.
The envelope had a photograph of James and Barney and on the backside of the photo, it was written, 'your sons'.
Even after confronting Loretta, she refuses to tell her kids, the truth.
She just sticks to her character even after the kids find out the envelope and the photograph with the note.
The two brothers set out for finding what the truth is.
Sam is an old black man and this confirms that he is James' biological father.
Sam and James make the scene rich with an emotional reunion and Barney believes that Sam is his father too.
Even though, everyone comes to know that Barney is just pretending that Sam is his father.
Ted gets angry on finding out what Robin has done to him.
Apparently, Robin has oversold Ted to a potential date that is a blind date.
Robin also makes desperate efforts to fix things up.
This makes things worse.
The entire thing makes Ted extremely angry.
He makes his anger evident with his actions.
The entire date thing has proved to be a nightmare for Robin.
