How to Remove & Replace an Ignition Switch

    • 1). Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "II" position.

    • 2). Insert the pin into the hole underneath the ignition switch under the key.

    • 3). Apply upward pressure on the pin to depress the release tab on the underside of the cylinder and switch mechanism.

    • 4). Pull the ignition switch and cylinder out of the steering column with the key.

    • 5). Insert the new ignition switch and cylinder into the steering column with the key turned to the "II" position. Push the switch all the way into the column until the cylinder and switch assembly click into place, indicating that it is locked into the column.
