Hawaii - 4 Reason to Visit in Winter

It's starting to get chilly in many places but not in Hawaii.
If you want to get away from the snow or cold or just want to head to the beach, consider a winter vacation in Hawaii.
Waikiki is just as beautiful, often less expensive and less crowded during the winter months.
1.
Ditch the car.
Winter in Hawaii is never too cold to go out for a walk or a bike ride thanks to the beautiful tropical weather.
In fact, many people who vacation in Waikiki only need to rent a car if they want to venture to North Shore.
The Waikiki and Honolulu area is a great place to walk around.
Shops, beaches, hotels, restaurants, all in one area and if you get tired of walking, you can just hop on The Bus or the Trolley.
Ditching the car saves money on gas and parking and makes for some fun exercise.
Plus, the traffic in terrible! No driving means less stress and more time to enjoy your holiday.
2.
Spend Christmas on the beach.
The holiday season doesn't have to be chilly and dreary; it can be sunny and warm and wonderful.
Spend the holidays near the beach or even ON the beach.
Many places close on Christmas Day but not the beach! How would you like to have a nice holiday picnic on the beautiful sands of Waikiki? Or how about a holiday barbecue? Work up an appetite swimming, snorkeling or surfing and then hang out on the beach with friends and family for an unforgettable meal in paradise.
Note: be very careful with your belongings at the beach.
Do not leave valuables unattended.
Theft is, unfortunately, all too common.
3.
No crowds.
The beaches of Waikiki are super popular during the summer but are much calmer during the winter.
The water is a little cooler but it's still sunny, it's still warm and the beaches are less crowded.
Snorkeling is popular any time of year because there are always fish and turtles to see and in the winter it's easy to see them because there are fewer people out.
And, you might even get to see whales because they migrate through Hawaii in the winter.
Whether you are whale watching, picnicking or just relaxing, you won't have to share the beach with as many people during the winter so go find your perfect spot and enjoy! Note: If you want to go up to North Shore to see the winter surfing competitions, you will run into crowds.
4.
Great deals on hotels and flights.
After the high summer season, travel prices to Hawaii drop considerably.
Searching for last minute fares can save even more and if you are flexible with your travel dates, you can search for even better deals.
Many people like package Hawaiian vacations that include hotel and airfare.
When booking hotels, ask what is included: breakfast, concierge service, discounts on activities, etc.
A good discount does not have to mean a cut in services or quality especially on the off season.
No car, no crowds, a chance to spend the holiday at the beach - all for a great price.
How does that sound?
