How to Remove the Inside Door Panel of the Driver's Door in a Honda CR-V
- 1). Open the driver's side door and locate the screw in the center of the inner door handle. Remove the screw using a Phillips screwdriver then pull the handle and trim panel out. Locate the inner handle rod on the back of the handle and pull it out of the hole in the handle. Lay the rod aside, and remove the handle and trim from the door.
- 2). Locate the three screws that hold the armrest onto the door. There is one at the top, front of the armrest and two more along the horizontal section of the armrest. Remove all three screws with a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the armrest from the door and set it and the screws aside.
- 3). Pop the speaker grill out of the door panel using a small, flat screwdriver. Be careful not to scratch the plastic grill or the panel around it. Set the grill aside and locate the three screws behind the grill. Remove the three screws with a Phillips screwdriver and pull the speaker out of the hole.
- 4). Disconnect the speaker wire connector from the back of the speaker. Set the speaker aside. Insert a small pry bar under the bottom edge of the panel and pry the three clips that secure the bottom of the panel to the door.
- 5). Pull out on the bottom of the panel slightly then slide the panel up and off the door. Disconnect any remaining wires on the back of the door for window or lock controls by unplugging the wiring harness connectors from the switch.
