How to Determine My Comcast Wireless Code
- 1). Look at the top of your original installation receipt (if you still have it). When Comcast service was installed in your home, you were given a detailed receipt breaking down exactly what services were performed. The original wireless security code used to protect the network is written on this receipt. If you haven't changed the code since installation, use the code on your receipt to access the network.
- 2). Call Comcast customer service at 800-COMCAST. This customer service telephone number is available 24 hours a day. After service was installed, the same wireless code written on your receipt was also noted in your account. Give the representative your account number (listed on your monthly bills) and have them look up the proper code to your home wireless network.
- 3). Turn over your Comcast wireless router and look for the default password printed on the label on the bottom of the device. Certain models of Comcast wireless routers have this information permanently attached to the device itself, making it impossible to lose. Look on the bottom of the router for this label. Type the code into your computer exactly as it appears on the bottom of the router to log back into the Internet.
