How A Mastermind Helps Me With My Blog - PART 2

There is no doubt that taking part in regular sessions with my mastermind group has really made a difference in my business.
Not only has the quality of work on my blog been improved, but the approach to all of my online endeavors has improved as well.
I am absolutely convinced that my business is better off for my mastermind activities.
Just to recap: in the previous article, we discussed the three ways that participating in a mastermind group can help you do business online.
If you missed that first article, those factors are support, advice, and motivation.
To finish up, we are going to discuss the next three advantages you get for taking part in a mastermind group.
The first one we'll talk about is the brainstorm effect.
OK, that may be a made up term, but the effect definitely isn't.
Having a group to pitch ideas to in order to come up with a new product or solve a problem is a big help.
Instead of being in a position to learn through trial by error, in a mastermind you can pitch the group on ideas and work together towards the best alternative.
I can say from experience that every member of our group (including me) has benefitted from our brainstorming sessions.
That leads to our next advantage, and that's applying a new perspective to your work.
I liken this benefit to playing chess.
When you are sitting at the board, there's too many things going on that clouds your view of things.
In other words, there are moves that you just don't see.
But when you are standing back observing the game, it is far easier to point out each player's mistakes.
The same effect is at work in your business.
When you are building your site, for example, you are thinking of a number of different things.
And when your mastermind group takes a look, they can point out simple things you either missed or overlooked.
These little mistakes aren't the end of the world, but can make your business look amateurish to your customers.
And nobody wants that.
Last but not least, your group can help you with accountability.
Of all the things that being involved with a mastermind group can do for you, this aspect is indispensable.
Being held accountable for your actions by people that know your business is priceless.
Only those with intimate knowledge of your blog can hold you fully accountable for your actions.
It is your fellow group members that know when you're dragging your feet on updating your site.
Your mastermind knows you well enough to call you out on writing a substandard post.
And it is your group that can tell when you need help and there along the way.
Having people that hold you accountable for your work is the best investment in your business long term.
While the effects of a mastermind on your business are numerous (and we have reviewed only six benefits here), the main theme here is that they help you to become a better, stronger blogger.
And you will also become a better entrepreneur to boot.
The only question left to ask is when will you find one to join?
