Voice to Text Software - Let Your Creativity Flow Naturally
Voice to text software.
A couple of years ago I would have scoffed at such a thing, but one small thing made me change my opinion.
In my profession I need to have a great public presence.
I often speak in front of anywhere from 5 to 200 people and I've worked hard to create a persona that makes that easy.
I've never had a problem with writing presentations or training material, but recently I've had to observe others deliver my personal content and there's been something missing.
These people were well trained, intelligent, charismatic people, but they seemed unable to quite catch the drift of what I was trying to put forward.
My personal touch, the things that make me unique, and good at delivering an effective message, were, to put it simply, completely missing.
And then I figured out what it was.
Although my writing skills were adequate, the hard work I had put in to being an excellent verbal communicator were not coming across in a written medium.
So, how to fix that? While speaking, my notes were very limited.
I knew my subject and had an outline of what I wanted to get across in my head and the skills I had developed enabled me to speak on said subject for an appropriate amount of time.
When writing, my logical side (tiny though it may be) took over too often.
I was over-thinking things.
Obviously I needed to write how I spoke and a very minor amount of research led me to voice to text software.
I won't reveal the exact package I purchased, but needless to say it is the premier example of voice to text software available.
It changed my writing style immediately.
I was able to dictate at normal talking speed and really insert my personality into my written work, I was able to relax and the software translated my speech fabulously and effortlessly.
It halved my previous time for creating a short presentation and my protege was able to deliver my content in a much more satisfactory manner.
The difference it has made to my output is fantastic, and the improvement I have made in putting my personality on paper was worth the cost of the software 100 times over.
Now I just need to make sure that it doesn't make me lazy!

- I modulate my voice for maximum impact.
- I practice my mannerisms in front of a mirror.
- I study my subject matter until I can talk about it at length in my sleep.
