Google Plus Needs the Ability for Social Network Members to Ask Real Time Questions
There are endless possibilities for "Google +" and it will be interesting to see where the search engine giant takes this new social networking plan.
Over the last few days I've been thinking about this, and also considering all the things that people need.
It seems that Facebook can often become rather childish due to the way it is set up and its format.
It's also attracted less than professional behavior.
There are a ton of people who like the concept of LinkedIn, but they don't like the fact that it isn't interactive to the degree that they'd like.
Now then, I propose that Google+ adds the ability for folks on its social network to ask questions in real time, questions which can go out to people who are experts, or knowledgeable in their various categories.
Let's say they are in a certain industry, they have a certain hobby, they play a certain sport, or they are involved in a certain religion, or nonprofit group.
People have questions constantly, and they can't always find the answer on the search engines.
How do I know this? Because my hobbies and interests involve lots of esoteric niches, where there aren't that many experts, and I can't find the answers to my questions.
It's not that someone doesn't know the answer, it's that no one has ever asked the question, or not enough people have asked the question making it relevant for anyone to provide the answer for free online.
Therefore, Google+ has the opportunity and could make this happen.
Perhaps it could be much like "Yahoo Answers" but with an instant Twitter flair; 1.
Short questions 2.
Short answers 3.
All in real time What a great way to connect people who are involved in similar activities.
Isn't that what social networking should really be about, and shouldn't people have a place to go when asking questions, that they need immediate answers to in the various categories and the people in those categories could tune into answer them.
It would almost be like "micro-consulting" for a more connected world.
Instant information in real time, from real people - that would really be great.
Indeed, I can't think of a better company than Google to bring this forward because Google is already where people go for answers.
People type questions into the search engine all day long, but rather than a machine answering the question, or sending someone to a website folks would be able to correspond with a fellow human being.
People would love to be helpful, and considered of value by answering the questions, and it would make someone's day to get the answer.
How cool is that? Everyone would win.
You know, I really like things like that, and I believe this could really help the human race.
Shouldn't the Internet be working for us, shouldn't it be about us - for the people and by the people? Well, maybe one day they'll produce it, who knows? And Google if you are listening, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
