How to Copy One Program From a Recovery Disc

    • 1). Press the "Eject" button for the disc drive on your computer.

    • 2). Insert the recovery disc, then close the disc drive.

    • 3). Close any auto-run windows that might open after you have inserted the disc. These applications are typically wizards that will install the entire contents of the disc.

    • 4). Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen, then click the "Computer" button in the right column of the "Start" menu.

    • 5). Right-click on the disc icon and select the "Open" option.

    • 6). Right-click on the folder for the program that you wish to copy. Most recovery discs will have one folder for each program included on the disc, but the exact location of your desired program may vary depending upon your computer manufacturer.

    • 7). Select the "Copy" option.

    • 8). Right-click on the task bar at the bottom of your screen and select the "Show the Desktop" option.

    • 9). Right-click anywhere on your desktop and select the "Paste" option.
