How Do I Logon to Windows 2000 LAN Server?

    • 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and then select "All Programs." Click "Accessories" and then click "Communication." From the list of options, click "Remote Desktop." This starts the application.

    • 2). Enter the Windows 2000 computer name or IP address. This IP address is provided by your network administrator. For most users, the computer name is used, which is the name displayed in the server's system settings.

    • 3). Click the "Connect" button. The application finds the server on network and displays a terminal window with the normal Windows login screen.

    • 4). Enter your network user name and password that has login capabilities on the server. You are logged in and able to use the server remotely.
