Drafted out of a Visalia, Calif., high school to play professional baseball for the Colorado Rockies, Sean did not pick up a golf club until an injury prematurely ended his baseball career.

To while away the boredom of rehabilitation, he started hitting the links, breaking 80 his first time out.

He says his game is self-taught and he is most proud of establishing a +4 handicap in less than four years.

A first generation American, Sean's father emigrated from Ireland to build a new life for his family. That's why he considers his opportunity to compete in The Big Break II a "chance of a lifetime."

The only amateur among the 10 contestants, he is nearing completion of a marketing degree at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He has a keen interest in politics and admits that he is a big Oprah Winfrey fan. "I'd love to talk with her about her work in Africa," he said.

Although he lists other hobbies, his impersonations kept his fellow competitors in stitches. His favorites include President George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Carl Spackler, Bill Murray's famous character from the movie classic, "Caddyshack."
