Appetizer Recipes With Shrimp

There is nothing quite as wonderful as easy party appetizers when you are planning an event and if you are a shrimp lover, you will be thrilled to know that many appetizer recipes include shrimp or are focused on shrimp.

Not So Small Shrimp Appetizers What You Need:
  • 2 pounds large shrimp - peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
How To Make It: Preheat the grill to HIGH Mix the butter, green onions, garlic, olive oil, and chives in a large glass bowl.
Add the shrimp.
Toss gently, coating well.
Oil the grate lightly and cook the shrimp over the flame, turning after 3 minutes.
Cook another 3 minutes.
Remove when the shrimp are opaque.
These shrimp are best served with a dipping sauce, such as the one below or one of the many others that can be found while browsing through the thousands of appetizer recipes for special events.
Shrimply Good Sauce What You Need:
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 teaspoon horse radish
  • Dash salt
  • 2 dashes white pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cream or half-and-half
How To Make It: Put all the ingredients in a small saucepan over very low heat.
Stir gently.
When the marmalade starts to warm and glaze, remove the pan from the heat.
Put the sauce in a small bowl and place it by the shrimp for an incredible dipping sauce.
You will be surprised at the many types of shrimp there are and at how guests will enjoy the different creations you make.
Decorate the area with a sea theme, including shells, nets, and even a mobile of cut-out, colorful sea animals.
Play some ocean themed songs in the background and be prepared for one of the most enjoyable events you have had this year.
