Even if you are sitting in a coffee shop or restaurant, look around because over a third of the people in there are in this disease with you.
The Shame Problem Is Sex The reason there is so much shame attached to herpes is because of it being a virus you contract by being sexual and/or kissing.
Keep in mind you can get either HSV-1 or HSV-2 on your lips or on your genitals.
Neither is exclusively oral or genital.
I believe there would not be as much shame attached to contracting herpes if there was not so much shame to having sex in the first place.
Sex is not and should not be a shameful act.
It is a beautiful act of love to express to another person we involved with in our lives.
