How to Do an Ohio Offender Search
- 1). To begin your Ohio offender search and access the eSORN you need to copy and paste the link "http://www.esorn.ag.state.oh.us/Secured/p1.aspx" into your address bar without the quotations and go to that site. It will bring you to the Ohio attorney general's main page for sex offender registration and notification.
- 2). From there you have the choice of doing an Ohio offender search or looking at the most wanted list. You'll see both options on the right side of the screen, and if you choose to do an Ohio offender search click on "offender search" and that will route you to the eSORN input screen where you can choose to search by offender name or by a one mile radius around a given address. If you want to look at the most wanted list, you just click on "most wanted" and you can browse the information and photographs of the most wanted sex offenders in Ohio.
- 3). If you choose to search by name simply fill out the first and last name in the Ohio offender search boxes near the top of the "search for an offender" page. It will ask you for county, school district, and zip code as well so try and supply as much information as you can. When you are done with that you just click "perform search" to bring up a list of related sex offenders.
- 4). Furthermore, if you want to use the Ohio offender search system to look within a one mile radius of a location you'll need to type in an address, city, and zip code and click "view map" which will pull up a map and plot out the location of registered sex offenders within a one mile radius of the address that you specified.
