Device Manager

• 1). Click "Start." Type "Manage my Hardware" in Search and press "Enter." This opens a Device Manager window.
  
  
• 2). Expand "Network Adapters." Right-click "2Wire Internet Ethernet Adapter" and click "Disable."
  
  
• 3). Click "Yes" on the confirmation dialog.
  
  

Network and Sharing Center

• 1). Click "Start." Type "Network and Sharing" in Search and press "Enter." This opens the Network and Sharing center.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Change Adapter Settings" link, which is located on the left pane. This opens a Network Connections window.
  
  
• 3). Locate the icon containing the name "2Wire" below "Disconnected." This icon is usually named "Local Area Connection 2."
  
  
• 4). Right-click the icon and click "Disable."
