Snowflake Christmas Wedding Ideas
- Create snowflake ornament save-the-dates. Buy one snowflake picture-frame ornament for each guest. Print the wedding information on white paper and place it inside the frame. Guests can hang the ornament in a window or on the refrigerator until the wedding. Once Christmas arrives, guests can insert their own photos and hang the ornament on the tree. Print your invitations on snowflake-embossed paper. Use light winter colors like white, silver and pale blue and seal the envelopes with snowflake stickers.
- Ask your baker to adorn your cake with snowflakes. Order a cake covered with white frosting and ask for silver snowflakes to be painted on. For a more dramatic statement, order a pale blue cake covered in white or silver flakes. Make gingerbread or sugar cookies cut in snowflake shapes. Frost the cookies white and sprinkle on sugar to make them glitter. Put the cookies out at dessert time, or package them up to give out as favors. Place three cookies in a plastic bag for each guest and tie the bag shut with silver string.
- Place a small Christmas tree at each table. Buy miniature Evergreen trees from a Christmas tree farm or buy miniature fake trees from a department store. Place each one in a tree stand, then arrange one in the center of each table. Set up cotton batting around the bottom to cover up the stand and simulate snow. Decorate each tree with silver snowflake ornaments. Drape strands of tinsel over some branches to make each tree glitter.
- Give each guest a bag of snowflake confetti to toss as you enter or exit the reception. Buy the confetti from a craft store or buy a snowflake hole punch and cut your own confetti from white or silver paper. Fill a paper or foil envelope full of confetti for each guest and seal it with a sticker embossed with your monogram. Place one envelope at each place setting along with a note explaining when to use it. Scatter more confetti on the buffet tables or around your centerpieces.
