How to Create Invitations with Software
- 1). Select the Publisher function to create invitations. Click on the "Invitation Cards" link in the "Publication Type" pane in the left side of the Publisher 2007 opening page.
- 2). Find the invitation template that fits your purpose. Publisher 2007 automatically loads a variety of types of invitations, such as housewarming, birthday party, etc. If you want to view more templates, click on the link, "View Templates form Microsoft Office Online" located at the upper left corner of the page.
- 3). Open the invitation template you want. Customize the invitation template from Publisher's "Format Publication" pane to the left of the template. Create a one-of-a-kind invitation by selecting your own color and font schemes. Add text specific to your event from the "Invitations Options" tab. Publisher offers verses for your use or you can enter your own message or text. If you need help writing text, websites such as LCI Paper offer free invitation wording ideas.

Send your invitations by regular mail or by email. For snail mail, print the invitations and mail them in matching envelopes. If you choose to email them, then send your invitations as file attachments. Once you have saved your original invitations as a Publisher 2007 file or a Publisher 2007 template, Publisher 2007 also allows you to save files as PDF, RTF, Word, JPG and GIF files, to name only a few types. You also have the option of saving your file to be compatible with an earlier version of Publisher or Word.
