How to Stop a Computer From Recording Me
- 1). Click the Start menu and point to "All Programs." Click "Accessories." Click the menu command "Sound Recorder." This will launch the program. Click "Stop Recording."
- 2). Unplug your external microphone from the pink-colored port or external webcam from the USB port. Unplugging these recording devices will automatically stop the recording.
- 3). Disable your recording device from Device Manger. Click the Start menu and type "Device Manager" (without the quotes) in the search box at the bottom of the Start menu. Press "Enter" key. Type administrator password or click "Continue. Scroll down the list of devices and locate your recording equipment. Right-click and choose "Disable."
