Is the Need of This Critical Hour Not for Men and Women With Deep Profound Spirituality to Arise?
We see this truth so clearly as we study the lives of King Saul and David, how it is perilously easy to have amazing sympathy with God's truth and remain in sin.
Have we not discovered that down through the years, as we face temptation? The vague and tenuous hope that God is too kind to punish the ungodly has become a deadly opiate for the consciences of millions, and so many believe this even within various churches.
An unholy church is useless to the world, and of no value among men.
It is an abomination, and goes against all that we read in the Word of God.
The worst evils which have ever come upon the world have been brought upon her by an unholy church.
We were warned regarding this many years ago and now we are reaping the sad harvest, spiritually and morally and economically.
The chief danger of the church today is that it is trying to get on the same side as the world, and again was that warning not sounded so clearly some years ago? Jesus Christ expects us to accomplish results, even if they bring opposition and conflict.
Anything is better than compromise, apathy, and paralysis.
God give to us an intense cry for the old-time power of the Gospel of the Holy Ghost.
There are many Prayer Meetings around but not much Prayer! Do you understand how serious that is? We think that men of old were different than men of today when we consider spiritual truth, but all those whom we regard as spiritual giants have been weak men, who did great things for God because they believed that God would be with them.
Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do.
Expect unexpected things, 'above all that we ask or think.
' How many go to worship on Sunday expecting something amazing to happen or be said? Each time, before you intercede, in prayer, be quiet first, and worship God in His glory.
Think of what He can do, and how He delights to hear the prayers of His redeemed people.
Think of your place and privilege in Christ, and expect great things! So often we take time at our Prayer times just to have a few moments silence and quietness.
Controversy for the sake of controversy is sin.
Controversy for the sake of truth can be a command of Almighty God.
To be right with God, has often meant that we get into trouble with men.
The apostles in the early Church soon found that to be true.
If your faith does not make you pray, have nothing to do with it.
Get rid of it and God help us to begin again.
I need to be reminded of that challenge frequently.
Many years ago these words were translated from the Chinese and the gist of them was that to carry the cross means that you refrain from doing what you have the power to do.
You are qualified to fulfill your desire, yet you refrain from doing so.
A person like this is the strongest person.
The strongest person is not the one who is able to do something, but the one who is able not to do what he has the power to do.
It is when we surrender to Christ that His strength can be revealed in us and through us and that is why Jesus calls us.
If you are under the dominion of sin, you are yet an utter stranger to the salvation of God.

Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong.
It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.
there is one who will attempt to allow us to enjoy being almost right when Jesus Christ calls us to something very different, and much more challenging and it is certainly not easy.
