How Do I Recover an iPod Photo on a Mac?

    • 1). Slide the "Hold" button at the top of the iPod Photo back and forth to turn the hold feature on and off.

    • 2). Hold down the "Menu" button and "Center" button on the iPod Photo's click wheel until the screen shuts off and displays the Apple icon.

    • 3). Release the "Menu" and "Center" buttons. Press any button on the click wheel to test the iPod Photo. If the device remains unresponsive, plug the device's cable into the docking cable port on the iPod Photo and into the USB port on your Macintosh computer.

    • 4). Click the iTunes icon on your desktop screen to run the iTunes application. Click the name of your iPod in the iTunes' side window. Click "Check for Update" to update your iPod Photo to the latest firmware, if necessary.

    • 5). Click the eject button in the lower-right corner of iTunes. Unplug the cable from your Mac and the iPod Photo.
