How to Cancel a Limited Partnership in California
- 1). Download Limited Partnership Certificate of Cancellation (Form LP-4/7) from the California Secretary of State website or contact the secretary of state's office at 916-657-5448 to request a hard copy.
- 2). Include the file number assigned to the limited partnership, the name of limited partnership and additional information you want to include about the cancellation of the partnership on the form. At least one general partner must sign the form.
- 3). File the certificate with the California Secretary of State's office. There is no fee to file a certificate of cancellation.
