This product just makes sense to me as a traditional air duct cleaner will be called to clean dryer vents a good percentage of the time.
In my experience of cleaning dryer vents I have noticed if your run is over 5 feet in length the amount of debris that accumulates increases exponentially.
There was one customer I worked with who had a 40 foot dryer vent run.
You simply wouldn't believe the amount of debris that was removed from that vent.
It was enough to fill two large garbage bags full of dryer vent lint.
The customer had trouble with their dryer at the time which kept shutting off during the middle of the cycle.
If they would've had one of these alarms they would have been notified what exactly the problem was and could have called a service provider accordingly.
Luckily for them they were using an old model clothes dryer so the amount of heat build up was less than current models.
