The Retiro bus terminal is next to the Retiro train station and provide transportation to mny destinations within Argentina and around the region. Ferry and hydrofoil offer rgular services to and from Uruguay.

Visitors are better off taking taxis in town rather than attempting the subway, or subte, or the bus system.

Both are efficient, but mastery of the system may be difficult during a short stay.
