How to Remove a Line Twist on a Spinning Reel

- 1). Drive the boat forward at 5 to 6 mph.
- 2). Remove any lures or terminal tackle from the fishing line.
- 3). Open the bail of the reel and place the end of the line in the water.
- 4). Motor ahead about 100 feet. Close the bail.
- 5). Drive for 5 to 10 minutes. Open the bail and let out another 100 feet of line, or however much left remains on the spool.
- 6). Close the bail. Reel in the line.
