How to Update a Junk Email Filter
- 1). Click on the icon for your junk email program. If it's a filter that comes with your email program, click on your junk email filter.
- 2). Choose "Update" from the list of options for the program, or choose "Update" in the junk mail filter itself. If you do not see an update option, it means that the program you are using for your junk email filter does not update. You can download another one that will have automatic updates.
- 3). Select "OK" to update your junk email filter. Your computer will need to be connected to the Internet. The program will automatically access its update site and download the newest information so it can continue to filter junk out of your inbox.
