Complete Itinerary of Pin Parvati and Kuari Pass Trek

This trek is challenging in many stages. This is the reason it is recommended for only those people who have prior experience of trekking in the Himalayas. According to some experts, this trekking should be undertaken by only those who have already successfully
completed the Kuari Pass Trek.

In this complete journey one has to cross many difficult passes, walk considerable long stretches and do some very difficult river crossings. In short, during the whole journey one will come across many varieties of adventures and excitements, which is the reason which makes it so much popular.
Generally every adventure tour operator follows 11 days Pin Parvati Trek which starts from the beautiful Kullu valley and ends in Pin, near Kaza. Given below is the day-by-day account of the complete trek program, which is as follows:-

Day 1: on the 1st day the tour operators transport all the participants from the common meeting place such as Chandigarh or Manali. From this common meeting place the participants are driven to Kasol, which is a very small village town, surrounded by some breathtaking views and natural surroundings. At this place the participants are accommodated in a hotel and allowed to prepare for the trek. This town has many shops from where one can shop for things trekkers are going to require in next few days.
Day 2: the journey starts from Barsheni, which is the starting point of the trek. From this point, one is required to walk through wooded region and reach Khirganage, located at 2707 m above sea level. This trek lasts for 3-4 hours, and the night is spent in tents.
Day 3: on 3rd day the trek resumes from Khirganga. One has to walk through meadows, negotiating lots of ups, downs, ascents and descents. The trail for most of the part takes place through forested areas. At the end of this day's trek one will enjoy the crossing of river using a Pulley Bridge. After it the trek for the day comes to an end at Thakur Kuwan which is located at a height of 3320 m.
Day 4: On this day the trek starts from Thakur Kuwan and ends at Ody Thatch at 3600 m above sea level. The complete duration of 4th day trek is around 3-4 hours, during which one comes across a couple of tricky river crossings.
Day 5: Trek resumes at Ody Thatch and ends at Mantalai at 3930 m above sea level. The total duration of this trek is 4-5 hours, during which one has to walk on a flat trail, along the river.
Day 6: A day of rest after 4 days of trekking. Tour leaders generally advice trekkers to give their bodies as much rest as possible. The night is spent in tents.
Day 7: Trek Begins in Manatalai and ends at Pin Parvati pass base Camp (4450 m). For most this is the culmination point of their journey. However, the serious trekkers will have to move forward as they will trek for 3 more days in a very tough and hostile terrain. Each day, 8-9 hours of trekking will take place and will come to an end at Tiya near Spiti.
The trip usually ends. From here one can get back to Manali taking with them the pleasant and memorable experience of trekking in Himalayas.
