How to File a Complaint Against a Bank
- 1). First, try to settle the problem with the bank or financial institution.
- 2). If you can't resolve the problem, contact the Federal Reserve and fill out a complaint form. You can find an online, or printable .pdf version here:

-Your name and phone number/s
-The name and address of the bank
-The names of those you've spoken with, and the dates
-A description of what happened. The more information they have, the faster they can investigate and respond.
-Include copies of letters or other documents that may help the investigation. (Don't send originals.)
They will connect with you or forward your complaint to the appropriate federal regulator for the bank or institution involved. They may also contact you to request additional information. - 5).
