How to Organize Email in Mircosoft Outlook 2010
- 1). Select and right-click on an email you want to make sure you get back to at a later date.
- 2). Select "Follow Up" in the list of options that appears to the right of your email.
- 3). Select the available flag that corresponds with when you want to make sure you follow up the email by. Flagged emails appear in your task box in the lower right-hand corner of your in box.
- 4). Unflag emails by right-clicking on the email, selecting "Follow Up," and clicking "Clear Flag."
- 1). Select and right-click an email you would like to add a reminder to.
- 2). Select "Follow Up" from the drop-down list to the right of the email, and click "Add Reminder."
- 3). Click the drop-down box next to "Flag to" and select an action to remind yourself to do the task associated with the email.
- 4). Click the drop-down box next to "Due date" and select the date you want to have the email issue addressed by.
- 5). Click "OK."
- 1). Locate an email from a person who sends you messages that are in need of a specific rule. You may want to assign a rule for a recurring email that automatically gets filed in a certain folder. You may also automatically want to set a rule up that sends messages from specific people with specific words in the subject line to a specific email folder.
- 2). Click the "Home" button on the toolbar located in the upper-left corner of your screen.
- 3). Click "Rules." Apply the necessary rules and click "Ok."
- 1). Click the "Folder" tab and select "New Folder" on the left-hand side of the Folder Menu.
- 2). Select where the folder will be.
- 3). Assign a name to the folder and specify what it will contain in the dialogue box that appears.
- 4). Click "OK."
