How to Change a Template in Joomla 1.5
- 1). Sign in to your Joomla account using your Super Administrator user name and password. If you do not sign in as a Super Administrator, you will not be able to change the template. After you sign in, you will be directed to the Administration page. You can edit your website here.
- 2). Hover over the "Extensions" tab located in the top menu and select "Template Manager." A list of the available templates will show up. The current default template will have a yellow star icon beside it.
- 3). Look through the list of templates available and find the template you want to use for your website.
- 4). Check the box beside the name of the template, or click the star icon beside the template, to select it as your new template.
- 5). Click the "Default" button located in the menu at the top, right corner of the page to save the template you selected as your default template. When you navigate to your website, the template you selected will be displayed.
