There are three good "Nordkapp hotels" in Hammerfest, meaning hotels near the Nordkapp (North Cape). These hotels are a great option if you choose not to come in an RV or camp at the Nordkapp. Just make sure to book ahead if you want to stay at a Nordkapp hotel in July or August.

1. Nordkapp Hotel #1: Rica Hotel Hammerfest

Found in central Hammerfest at Soeroeygt 15, the Rica Hotel is my favorite Nordkapp hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the hotel offers great service, clean and modern rooms, restaurant and a rec room. Rates are more reasonable than at the other two hotels near the Nordkapp. You have a great view of the sea from here, including cruise ships passing by. -- 4 Star rating.More »

2. Nordkapp Hotel #2: Thon Hotel Hammerfest

The Thon Hotel in Hammerfest is relatively new and one of the most modern hotels at the Nordkapp. You can find it on the town square in Hammerfest (at Strandgata 2-4) with very nice views of the harbor. The hotel rooms are quiet and clean, and there's a sauna in the hotel along with many amenities. Pricing is very reasonable considering what you're getting, but a little higher than the other two Nordkapp hotels. -- 3 Star rating.More »

3. Nordkapp Hotel #3: The Quality Hotel Hammerfest

A good place to stay near the Nordkapp and you have the chance to socialize with other travelers in the hotel's own pub or the Sailor's Inn. It can get VERY busy here on weekends. The rooms at this Nordkapp hotel are large and there's a sauna and solarium as well as internet and free parking for hotel guests. They're part of Clarion/Choice Hotels Scandinavia. -- 4 Star rating.More »
