How to Apply Birth Control Patch

- 1). Decide on a spot to apply the birth control patch. You can apply it to your stomach, upper arm, upper torso or bottom.
- 2). Remove the patch from its wrapper and stick the patch on the desired area. Since the patch is thin and beige, it will look like a Band-Aid on the area to which you apply it. Start using the patch within the first five days of the start of your period.
- 3). Change the patch to a fresh one the same day once every week. If you started the patch on a Monday, change to a new one at approximately the same time on the following Monday.
- 4). Take every fourth week off from wearing the patch. Do not wear the birth control patch during the fourth week. Resume wearing it the following week on your regular day.
