- 1). Pour the water in to the large bowl. If using a clear bowl, place it on a light or white surface in order to accurately tell how much dye you need to add.
- 2). Begin adding the coloring to the water. If the ice is meant just for decoration or show, use the fabric dye. If creating the ice for drinks or other edible projects, use the icing dyes.
- 3). Continue adding the coloring, a few drops at a time while stirring, to the water. This gradual addition will aid you in achieving the perfect color, without over-dying the water.
- 4). Pour the water in to the desired mold, whether plain cubes or funky shapes.
- 5). Insert the mold in to the freezer and chill it for 24 hours to ensure the cubes or ice is fully frozen. Remove from the mold and use as desired.
