How to Connect a Fujitsu Laptop Drive to IDE

- 1). Shut down your laptop.
- 2). Remove the AC adapter from the laptop. Flip the laptop upside down and press the battery release button, then remove the battery.
- 3). Unscrew the hard drive cover, typically located in the bottom section of the case. Slide the cover to the right to remove it.
- 4). Unscrew the two hard drive bracket screws and disconnect the hard drive by sliding it to the left.
- 5). Remove the hard drive from the drive brackets. Connect the IDE 2.5 to 3.5 adapter to the laptop drive.
- 6). Go to your desktop computer. Power down your computer and unplug it from the power supply. Remove the case cover from your tower by unscrewing the side panels or pressing a release button or latch. Connect the laptop hard drive adapter to the wide, thin IDE cable in your computer. Insert a power supply connector into the power slot on the adapter.
