Things to Do in Daytona Beach - Known As the World"s Best Beach

Daytona Beach is considered by many around the world as "The Worlds Best Known Beach.
" Therefore, things to do is never a problem.
There are many events that take place throughout the year at specific times and many different attractions that are in, on, and around this area that one would be hard pressed to find boredom.
Of course, if these attractions do not suit your fancy, then, there is always the beach.
And, what a beach it is.
This is the official home of NASCAR and precisely where NASCAR started with racing on the beach.
Therefore, there are a few NASCAR based attractions located here.
There is also the Daytona five hundred race in February and the Coke Zero four hundred race in July.
These are exciting times for race fans and non-race fans alike.
It is a circus type atmosphere that envelopes and embraces the area.
Bikeweek in February and Biketober in October bring thousands of motorcycles to this area.
Events are staged with them in mind.
However, one does not need to be a rider to enjoy them.
These specially geared events are enjoyed by both young and old alike and are always welcomed.
This is the premiere destination for spring breakers.
And, every Spring Break brings thousands of them to the Daytona Beaches.
Coincidently, there is a high school spring break and a college spring break which run back to back.
This makes for a fun three weeks in March.
If traveling a little ways is in your itinerary, Kennedy Space Center is only fifty miles south.
This is the home to the space shuttle and depending upon the launch schedule, viewing a launch up close is a real possibility.
Coincidently, these launches can also be seen from Daytona's beaches.
Depending upon weather of course.
Another option is to travel just a short driving distance to Orlando and the world renown Walt Disney World or Universal Studios.
Note that, getting your tickets to these places in Daytona before you go will certainly save you money.
Many tourists stay close to the beach in Daytona, but will travel to some of these area locations in order to enjoy the best of both world's.
There are also many springs and state parks around the area.
Here one can fish and even snorkel in the crystal clear water that naturally comes from the ground.
The water temperature is a year round seventy two degrees.
On a hot day, this can be a most refreshing option.
The cost for this is very cheap and will certainly not even make a dent in one's wallet.
Some of the more general information that a tourist would want to know is that the weather in the summer is quite hot.
It averages ninety plus degrees.
And, the winters average around sixty degrees.
Rain is always a concern, but is rare most of the time.
With Daytona's ocean location, a constant breeze is the norm.
