How do I Identify Electronic Company Logos?

    • 1). Try a regular image search. Use Google Images or Yahoo! Images to search with the phrase "tech company logos." The results will include thousands of images of company logos. Scan these quickly, and with a bit of luck, you might find the logo you're looking for.

    • 2). Find the URL of the image you want to identify if the search in Step 1 didn't do the trick. You can usually find the URL by right-clicking on the image, selecting "Properties" and copying the URL to your clipboard.

Alternatively, you can save the image as local file. Again, right-click the image and select "Save image as..." to create a file.

Mac users should hit "Control" and click, and then select "Copy image location."

    • 3). Visit tineye.com. TinEye is a reverse image search---a relatively new technique that lets you enter an image to search and find identical or nearly identical images elsewhere on the web.

Enter the URL of the image or the file path of the saved file in the appropriate box at TinEye, and click on "Search."

TinEye will look return any images in its database that match or very closely resemble the electronic company logo you are searching for. Explore the websites that are sources of the images, as the odds are very good that at least one of them will identify the company that goes along with the logo.
