Make Money Blogging - 3 Reasons Why The IM Niche Is Still A Good One!
Something I've heard so many times over the years, is that the internet marketing niche is not one you should go for as a first timer.
In this article I want to give 3 reasons why it's actually a perfectly fine niche to go into...
The first of the reasons given for not choosing IM as your niche is that there is too much competition, that there are too many other people already well established in the field.
It's true that there are indeed many established people, but that does not mean there isn't room for you.
The reason there is so much competition is because it's a niche that has a massive demand! If you are only going for search engine traffic, then the competition will undoubtedly be a huge problem, but there are so many other ways of getting traffic.
Lots of demand is a good thing, and big demand being a positive always trumps any negatives about too much competition, thanks to the second of my three reasons...
That second reason given as a negative is that you can't be taken seriously in the IM niche if you've not made money yourself.
Hmm, that's somewhat of a chicken and egg situation.
I can see the argument here, but the way around this argument is that you add your own personality into the equation.
No-one, and I mean no-one, has your back story, or your individual reason for making money online.
Once you use your own story, you can get people to follow along with your progress as you go.
Not only does this blow away the lack of experience argument, in time is becomes a huge positive, because it builds a personal connection, people can see you are a real person, not just someone trying to get their money, which is certainly the perception around some of the 'big names' in the field.
The third reason I say that IM is a fine niche, is that there are so many sub niches.
These range from traffic generation, to content creation, to how you will distribute the content, affiliate marketing versus own products, and so on and so on.
Any of these sub niches can be all you ever need to make a full time income, and a good one at that.
In fact it can be a problem if you spread yourself too thin.
Focusing on one sub niche can take a lot of the competition away because they aren't in that sub niche! So, the nay sayers will tell you to avoid the IM niche because there is too much competition, you don't have enough experience.
I've explained how demand is more important than competition, that you create your own individual experience for people to connect with, and that there are lots of sub niches you can specialise in.
3 reasons then, why the IM niche is a great one to make money blogging in!
