How to Remove Corrosion From the Contacts of Signal Lights

- 1). Cut the power to the light if it is plugged in, or remove the batteries if it is battery operated.
- 2). Open the light housing, and remove the bulb to locate the electrical contacts.
- 3). Gently rub each contact with the white pencil eraser to remove corrosion. Be sure to dust away or blow away any eraser residue.
- 4). Use the de-oxidizing cleanser and the small brush or toothbrush to gently remove any corrosion, if any remains. Follow the instructions on the product's label to ensure you use it properly. Wipe away any remaining residue with the lint-free cloth, and allow the contacts to fully dry before reassembling the light assembly and restoring the power supply.
