Shadow Box Projects for an Anniversary
- Create a shadow box using the couple's wedding memorabilia. Hand-write or print lyrics from the song they danced to at their wedding onto decorative paper, and use it as a background for the box. Alternatively, write their wedding vows. Display a wedding photo in the center. Glue a real frame with the photo into the box for a dimensional effect. Create a collage using announcements and invitations from the wedding. Add keepsakes to the box including wedding favors or the bridal garter.
- Create a keepsake of the family using photos and objects with the couple and their children. Add photos of the entire family, or individual photos of the parents and children. Collage baby announcements and the ultrasound photos of the children. Add dimensional items such as personal objects that will remind the couple of the family unit. Cast the handprints of the entire family and attach to the box. Hand-write a poem, saying or expression that represents the family.
- Create a family adventures keepsake box for fond memories of the family's explorations together. Use decorative paper with images of maps as the background. Alternatively, print an image or map of the actual locations for a background. Add photos of the family on vacations and trips, and collage them by scattering them haphazardly and layering them around the box. Include items that the family collected on their adventures, including shells from the beach or postcards from a foreign vacation. Add souvenirs collected from local trips.
- A shadow box filled with honeymoon photos and souvenirs will preserve happy memories. Add a photo to the center of the box and decorate the box with the theme of the honeymoon vacation using scrapbooking supplies. To recreate a beach scene, place a photo of the couple on the beach and add sand to the bottom of the box. Add stickers and embellishments around the photo such as shells and palm trees. Hand-write the date and places.
