How to Keep Birds Away from Fruit and Berries

- 1). Set out a decoy fruit. So this by setting them away from the ones you plan to harvest. Birds love mulberries, so set out mulberry bushes out away from the others.
- 2). Put out bird feeders with bird seed. If the birds fill up on seed, they will be less likely to eat your fruit and berries.
- 3). Get an outdoor cat. If it bothers you that a cat will eat birds, place a bell around the cats neck so any birds will be warned to move it.
- 4). Put a stuffed animal in the trees, bushes or vines. Move it often, tricking the birds into thinking they are real.
- 5). For grapes that are close to picking time, you can place a paper bag over them for protection. Cut slits in the bag for ventilation.
