How to Make Pancake Syrup From Karo Syrup

    • 1). Add the corn syrup, maple extract and butter to the small saucepan.

    • 2). Heat the pan slowly, on a low setting, for five minutes. The butter will melt into a liquid and thin out the corn syrup a little bit so that it drizzles easily.

    • 3). Whisk in the powdered sugar, this sweetens the homemade maple-flavored pancake syrup.

    • 4). Whisk the heating mixture for an additional minute while it warms. Remove it from the heat and serve over pancakes immediately.
