- 1). Dampen a washcloth with warm water. If possible, use a baby washcloth since the material is softer and will be gentler on your baby's ears.
- 2). Clean around your baby's ears with the washcloth, and wipe away any visible earwax.
- 3). Use a baby safety swab to clean wax from your baby's ears if you are unable to remove the wax using a washcloth.
- 4). Schedule an appointment with your baby's pediatrician if the earwax has built up inside his ear. The pediatrician can flush out the wax.
