There has been an incline of hearing conditions throughout the U.
S.
recently.
Many people will have in there lifetime some sort of ear complication that will cause stress or discomfort.
Most cases are ringing in the ears.
There is no direct affect of why this happens, or where it originates from, but research has proven that loud and continuous noises could be related to the causes of ringing in ears.
A few facts about decibels.
Having a normal conversation has a decibel rating of between 60-79db.
The sound of normal traffic inside your car is 85db.
A snowmobile, motorcycle or any motorized vehicle is around 100db.
A show or (rock concert) that is usually between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours long has a decibel rating of 115db.
It is at 123db that pain starts to begin and there after it leads to permanent damage.
Now knowing these facts, you have a brief description and understanding of how decibels over a period of time can have an affect on a persons hearing.
Having constant exposure to low levels of decibels can also have an impact on your ears.
By limiting yourself to long exposure of sounds will greatly reduce any risk of injury to your hearing.
With all that said it leads me to to say that current audio devices such as mp3 and iPods, can store up to 15,000 songs with a battery life of 20 hours.
Although both have volume control, they are mostly listened to at high levels.
You see where I am going with this? This is one indication for the increase of ringing in the ears among younger people.
Although this is not a direct medical condition or disease, it can be annoying and sometimes difficult to function day to day activities in extreme cases, and lead to other conditions eventually.
